5x14

Tears spilling onto swollen cheeks, she looked at him with pleading eyes. "Don't go."

In that moment he knew that he would never love the same way again.

She waited forever to hear those words. "I love you, too." Spoken too late.

Gazing at tiny pinpoints of light, I knew at last, I was going home.

Lost: one spouse, one house, two cars, few friends and countless dreams. Found: myself.

5/14 - my first real post...

I was born. I grew. I loved. I cried. I lived. Now I'm done.

I waited at the door with my gun. I knew he'd come back. Bang.

Her touch was velvet. Her breath gave him life. He now knew his purpose.

He gave the order and the world changed forever. Life is too easily destroyed.

Is that him... wearing a pink turtleneck for our date? Slam... click... duck... shhhhhhh........

14 Stories - Aharon

Second Coming

At last, I am Come... Where is everybody? When the hell did they leave!?

Two fictions meet. Problems for one. The other tells fables based on true stories.

One thousand Monkeys, on one thousand typewriters, for a thousand years. I was one.

The professor died, leaving a paper trail. Will we ever see the light again.

College Girl. One to many drinks. Guy wakes up in a tub, No kidney.

14 word stories - Pete

Finding her

Denial. Not looking, I found her. Not wanting, I needed her. Zing wins. Again.

Growing close

Anger. Apart, but together. True for him and for me. Love grows, despite this.

Living together

Bargaining. Now together, but apart. Thinking for each other is painful, and ends it.

The aftermath apart

Depression. Hindsight’s kick to the balls; I hurt, and grow, and love her still.

Phoenix flames

Acceptance. Not looking, I find her. Not wanting, I need her. Zing wins. Again.

...

Five 14 word stories about someone I love, despite everything that’s happened to us. The five periods from meeting her until now are spoken to, in Zach’s format. The “Zing” I refer to is my own personal version of the Spidey Sense. It tingles me when great things are about to happen, relationship-wise in my life.

Short stories for short people

I was so excited about my assignment I blew my load too early.

whoops.

(note: I really friggin' wish we had some kind of 'hide' option :( )

As part of the assignment, I said 5, and I mean five, so I had to cut out/re-write a bunch of them; I have ended up writing some 15 or so little ditties, although the majority of them are much more suited to story openings than full stories.
  1. I thought I was okay. Then something fell off. I guess I was mistaken.
  2. Resting. Movement, corner of the eye. Turn and it's gone. Too late.
  3. "Gimme!" Erin produces a bag of chocolate cookies from her knapsack. Tomorrow, she's fired.
  4. One second to answer. "Why would I ever sleep with your daughter?" Wrong answer.
  5. It was hard saying "no" to her sad blue eyes, so he said "goodbye."
... okay, one bonus one:
  • before it starts. The most tragic kind of story is the one that ends
