To clarify, there is a picture of a smoking monkey... write the scene, or short story that begins with a smoking monkey. or ends with the smoking monkey. or just find away to write a story where the smoking monkey is an important character or concept.
I object to this topic on the grounds that it is not kid or beast-friendly. We should not be promoting tobacco use or animal abuse. Moreover, WMW was meant to be open to people and beasts of all ages.
I second, and although I believe humans have the obligation to keep monkeys from becoming addicted to cigarettes, I know Arahon didn't mean to condone this abhorrent activity.

I'm torn. I am reluctant to Play Aharon's Brother, and oppress his creative efforts, grinding him into the ground Warhammer-style, never letting him express himself, always embarrassing him in front to girls...
wow, guys, if it makes you feel better, then write about getting the monkey to stop smoking. and I think I should clarify the monkey can't just make a cameo appearance, it must be important to the story. now I know you guys might be a little intimidated and thus the squabbling (polyannas) but I think that using the monkey (ape actually) will be an interesting practice in writing outside of your safety zones.
